I actually got a better deal from Frigidaire than Amazon and received it faster. At first due to the extreme heat in Los Angeles, the a/c wouldn™™t stay on, but once I switched to high cool from auto the wonderful cooling began. A caster wheel was broke and the hose leaked a little hot air but not enough to interfere with cooling. I believe Frigidaire will fix this problem. A health saver.

Unit had electrical issues from the start. Turning off, switching from cool to fan, then after a couple months, started generating 2 gallons of water every night while on ™cool™, not dry. Never was capable of cooling the size room it says it should. Replaced under warranty. Hoping second unit is better.

Works as expected. Installation was a little challenging for a vertical sliding window but I made it work with a minor adjustment. I was surprised how much water collects and needs to be emptied daily. Twice or sometimes more on humid days. Cannot leave it on if I don't have time to monitor and empty collection.

After weeks of a July heat wave, I decided to buy a portable AC for my bedroom. To be honest, my criteria depended on the price and brand. Because Frigidaire has a favorable reputation, and the price was within my range, I chose the 8000BTU Model.After two weeks of nighttime use, I am pleased with the medium noise level which I refer to as "restful white noise," because I am definitely sleeping better with my Frigidaire. Bought the unit for my kid™™s room because her room has the lowest airflow from the central air. Good size and power for the size of her room, and it cools the room in less than 10 minutes. My only complain is that it does have a slightly louder humming noise and that the window attachment does not work well with our new Andersen window, so we had to improvise a bit.

We purchased the Frigidaire model #FHPC0821AC to combat the summer heat in our upstairs master bedroom. This Frigidaire was easy to setup, including venting the supplied exhaust hose through one of the bedroom windows. Everything we needed was included in the box, and took less than 30min to complete the installation. The unit works perfectly, quickly cooling the 350sf master bedroom. Our desired sleep tempature is 68degrees, and this unit easily maintains this temperature throughout the evening and early morning hours. This Frigidaire is perfect for us. We are sleeping much better, waking up refreshed, ready to takle whatever the day has in store for us. Most portable A/C units make loud clunky sounds as the compressor kicks on/off, but not the Frigidaire, its quiet as it cycles to maintain temperature. This Frigidaire is perfect for us and we could not be happier with this purchase. Thank You Frigidaire!

Out of the package, the window kit was cracked and once connected the swing feature does not work. It works ok otherwise, a bit loud for a bedroom even on low fan setting. I like that it has a smaller footprint than my previous model also a Frigidaire. The vent window kit is not easily reversible, left or right side of window,like my old one was. It cools well enough, I cool room prior to bedtime and turn it off.

I love my new portable AC. It works great and was easy to install. The directions were clear and direct. I using it in my bedroom and boy does it get my room cold. I had to turn it off a few times because it gets too cold. I sleep with my comforter on my bed. I am so glad I purchased. I wasn™™t skeptic because I know the Frigidaire brand is a good brand. I LOVE IT! It has been 100 or more degrees the past several weeks with no relief in the evenings. Closing Bed room doors I now can cool the kitchen and dining/living room (total 350 sq. ft.). At night just open doors & the other 350 Sq. ft. is quite comfortable. It was eastmy to set up, it is easy to use use and quiet. It has a remote but haven't needed to use it. Did I mention I LOVE IT? What a relief!

A few days in and it™™s doing its thing as expected, so that™™s good. The exhaust tube is fiddly to set up, with the end pieces that you screw onto the tube popping off easily while getting the tube and window piece into place, leading to some frustration. Once that™™s managed, though, it™™s working fine.

This unit is quiet and works fast, cools down my bedroom to really chilly within an hour or two depending on how hot it is to begin with. A unit that runs without funny odd sounds and noises as in some other brands.

I ordered direct from Frigidaire for their two day shipping but it took over a week instead. I spent hours on the phone with customer service before it could finally ship with no explanation on the delay. Then? UPS struggled to deliver and I had to track down the package with them. Turns out Frigidaire had omitted part or my address on the shipping label™¦ It™™s cooling well (one day in so we™™ll see) but I spent probably over 8 hours speaking with different customer service personnel to get it here. Oh, and the fan vent is broken and does not swing.

I have had this appliance for about a month now. It has only been needed for a few hot days when my room couldn't cool down on its own and at that point I was super grateful. The AC works well. I wish I could adjust the front facing fan grates a bit more, but I can work with what I have. What I love most is the size. It's more portable than any other model I've tried which will be great as I move around over the next few years. The unit is quite loud and the few nights I've used it I've definitely put in some ear plugs so I could sleep through the noise. The fan is really impressive. The fan modes are what I use most currently until it gets seriously hot where I live in July/August. I think I might put a piece of plywood underneath the unit to help stabilize it as I've heard that can be helpful. So far I'm super happy with this model.

It's worth finding the Consumer Reports reviews before buying. All I knew was it's a good brand, but after buying I'm not sure about this model.I don't like that the fan turns on and off with the compressor when it regulates the temperature. The change in sound disturbs me even when it gets quieter but especially when it turns on again, and sometimes I immediately get too hot from no breeze. That functionality should be for eco mode, which the AC doesn't have.It's also weird that at just 3 feet away, you can't feel any breeze from the front. The air seems to bounce off the side of the AC inside the unit and come out at an angle, which doesn't affect the function but I'd prefer an AC that doesn't do that so you know where the air will go by looking at the position of the unit. It took me two days to realize the air doesn't come out straight.The ability to keep it closer to the wall than 31.5 inches, and a higher exhaust would be a big help.The requirement for "a single circuit outlet power source" is troublesome. I'll experiment with my breaker panel to see if I'm obeying that rule. Some people wouldn't even know what that means. They may think a duplex outlet wouldn't work.A lower power and quieter setting would be nice too. I'd prefer twice the size and half the noise.

After extensive research on portable A/C units we chose this Frigidaire. It is very compact, powerful, quiet, and the dehumidifier feature works extremely well. I have this unit set up in my office year round. My computer puts out a stupid amount of heat and our house traps heat like an oven. Summer or Winter our house is roasting. So this little AC has been a lifesaver so far, keeps my office in the low 70's whereas it used to sit in the high 80's to low 90's depending on the day. The house has those stupid swing out windows so we had to get creative and pipe the exhaust through the ceiling and into the attic near the vent fan. The filters don't capture as much of the dust as I would like (The coil is constantly getting filled up with dust and dog hair) but otherwise I like it. Kind of loud for a small office but with headphones I don't even notice it anymore
